Introducing 50 vibrant cherry shrimp in various colours, perfect for any freshwater tank with a minimum capacity of 25 litres. These Neocaridina shrimp have a peaceful temperament and are ideal for beginners.
Please Note:
Upon delivery, some shrimp may look a bit pale. This is a normal, temporary condition caused by the stress of being removed from their tank and placed into transport bags. Their full, vibrant colors will come back once they settle in their new aquarium—usually within 1 to 2 weeks.
Water Parameters:
Temperature: 18°C to 28°C
pH: 6 to 8
Nitrites & Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: 20ppm or lower
Water Changes: Approximately 20% of the tank water should be changed weekly
Acclimating Your Shrimp to Their New Aquarium:
The best approach to acclimate your shrimp is to use a drip method over 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This gradual process helps them adjust to the differences in temperature, pH, and water hardness, reducing stress and minimizing the risk of shock.
How to Drip Acclimate:
Place the bag of shrimp into a clean container such as a bucket or large bowl.
Using airline tubing with a control nozzle, slowly siphon water from your aquarium into the container. If you don’t have this tubing, add small amounts of tank water periodically.
Continue until the container’s water volume has increased to four times its original amount.
Once the water has been gradually adjusted, gently introduce the shrimp into your aquarium.
Remember, if the shrimp appear less colorful during transport or right after being added to your tank, their true colors will return within 1 to 2 weeks.
