They would usually come between 3-5cm in size

• Tank Setup:

  • Orange Rabbit Snails thrive in a well-established aquarium with fine gravel or sand substrate to protect their soft bodies and encourage natural burrowing behavior.

  • Decorate the tank with live plants, driftwood, and smooth rocks to mimic their natural habitat and provide grazing surfaces.

• Water Parameters:

  • Maintain a stable pH between 7.2 and 8.2 to support healthy shell development.

  • Ideal water temperature is between 26 to 30°C (79 to 86°F).

• Filtration and Water Flow:

  • Use a gentle filtration system that avoids strong currents. These snails prefer calm waters and may struggle in high-flow conditions.

• Diet:

  • Orange Rabbit Snails feed on algae, biofilm, and leftover food in the tank.

  • Supplement with algae wafers, sinking pellets, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini or spinach for a balanced diet.

• Tank mates:

  • Best kept with peaceful community species like rasboras, tetras, small catfish, and freshwater shrimp.

  • Avoid aggressive fish or those that may nip at their antennae or soft bodies.

• Behavior and Compatibility:

  • Orange Rabbit Snails are calm, slow-moving, and spend most of their time grazing surfaces or burrowing lightly in the substrate.

  • They are livebearers, giving birth to fully formed young, and reproduce at a manageable rate in most tanks.
