How to Fully Cycle a New Tank
Before adding shrimp, your aquarium must complete the nitrogen cycle. This process converts toxic ammonia into safer nitrate and allows beneficial biofilm and algae to develop for shrimp to graze on.
Step 1
Set up your aquarium with:
Step 2
Add a small pinch of fish food to provide an ammonia source.
Step 3
Add a biological bacteria starter, such as Seachem Stability.

At this stage, your aquarium is ready for shrimp.
Step 6
Add your favourite shrimp and enjoy your new colony!
