Description
Great Salt Lake brine shrimp eggs pre-mixed with buffered salts to ensure optimal water parameters for a high hatch rate . These sachets make up a litre of solution and contain the same 90%+ hatch rate eggs that I import loose from Utah for myself . Listing is for FIVE sachets . These contain a lot of eggs , and if you provide a stable temperature, aeration and strong light , you really will get a lot of nauplii .I hatch these in cut-off milk containers clipped inside a heated tank , as shown .This looks primitive but works particularly well as the temperature is STABLE ( v.imp ) and the aquarium light does it's job. You can stuff the air line down the handle to emerge in the middle bottom of the container .I sprinkle the mix into the water and leave for two hours before turning on the air , to allow the eggs to hydrate and start to sink .During the hatching process I wash eggs that have become stuck above the waterline back down with a "yellow mustard" squeezy bottle .You should not use an airstone or dechlorinator, just a plain tube and tap water . Mystery Snail Eggs Clutches x 2 .
Two egg clutches laid by my Mystery snails , which are a mixture of magenta , ivory and brown . The hatchlings can be any of these colours .The egg clutches will have been laid about three days before sending , allowing them to harden up . They should be expected to hatch in about 10-14 days .
