Description
Assorted Swordtail, pack of 5 for £12.99, just £2.60 per fish. A starter group for a new shoal.
Mixed swordtails in classic red, black and green forms. Males develop the long "sword" on the lower tail, and the whole group stays busy in open water.

Setting up their tank
Give them a tank of 80L+ held at 22-28°C, with a pH of around 7.0-8.0. Best kept: groups of 4+, ideally 1 male to 2-3 females. Temperament: peaceful, males can spar.
Feeding
Feed a good-quality flake or micro-pellet, with frozen bloodworm, brine shrimp or daphnia a few times a week. Some vegetable food, such as spirulina, keeps them in top condition.
Breeding
A livebearer, so females give birth to free-swimming young every few weeks. Thick plants or floating cover give the fry somewhere to hide.

This listing is for 5 fish. Order more than one pack to build a bigger group. We send orders by overnight courier for £9 per order, however many you buy, or you can collect from us in Ayr (KA8). Fish come from our own tanks and colours deepen as they settle in.
