Snowball shrimp are an opaque white Neocaridina, named for their eggs, which look like tiny snowballs beneath the female. They stand out dramatically against dark substrate and planting.
Hardy and prolific — pH 6.8–7.8, GH 6–12, TDS 150–300, room temperature. One of the easier strains to breed, and a good first shrimp.
Also sold as White Pearl shrimp; the two names refer to the same strain.
