Ramshorn snails are a hard-working, shrimp-safe clean-up crew, available in red, blue, pink, brown and leopard varieties. They graze algae, biofilm and decaying plant matter, and their waste feeds the same biofilm your shrimplets rely on.
They breed readily when there is surplus food, which makes population size a feeding question rather than a snail question — feed less and numbers settle down on their own.
Keep GH above 6 to prevent shell pitting. Safe with all Neocaridina and Caridina shrimp.
