30x Mixed cull shrimps

Mixed cull shrimps 30+ ( 3 DOA ) shrimp. 

The recommended parameters are as follows:

PH: 5.5 to 6.5

TDS: 120 - 180

GH: 4-6

KH: 0 – 1

Nitrate: 0-20ppm 

Temperature: can be anywhere between 18 - 23 degrees but has to be stable.

Our recommendations:

Keep shrimp in a tank of at least 25 litres but the bigger the tank the better the water stability. 

Having plants will create a good hiding place for shrimps to feel comfortable and safe especially when they are berried or just after moulting.

These shrimp do well in a sizeable colony of between 10-20 shrimp. This ensures there is a good mixture of sexes within the colony and they tend do be more active in larger numbers.

All shrimps are packed securely. We use Royal Mail Delivery service, the box is clearly marked as Live Fish.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday WE DO NOT SEND. If you order on Thursday your order will be posted the following Monday excluding bank holidays. 

Dead On Arrival (DOA) Reporting 

In the unlikely event of any more than your one free shrimp being DOA, please contact us via ebay no longer than 1 hour after signing for your parcel to inform us of the matter. 

In addition, within 4 hours, you will be required to provide either 

photo evidence of the dead shrimp in the original and unopened breather bag or Video evidence of the dead shrimp in the original and unopened breather bag. Once the shrimps are in your tank we will not be held responsible.

All photographs must be clear and not distorted. Without a clear photo or video we are unable to process the claim.

Failure to be present to sign for your parcel on the agreed delivery date will void all claims.

Upon satisfactory evidence of the DOA, we will promptly issue a refund of the DOA shrimp ONLY to your account.

Please note we DO NOT issue refund on postage cost under any circumstances, as this has already been paid to courier services.

Once you received your shrimps the fun begins.

it is important to acclimate your new shrimps this is to ensure they survive and thrive in your tank. There are few methods out there. But this is my favourite one to do.

wash your hands thoroughly to start 

1. Slowly cut the breather bag open and take all the moss or plants out first just incase any of the shrimp are stuck with the moss, then slowly pour them in to a 1 or 2 litre container, have a look at the breather bag to make sure all the shrimp are out. 

2.Using a piece of airline with air control valve you can start to siphon from one end so that the water can drip slowly from the tanks into the container. It is recommended to keep the drip rate at 1 per second.

3.Once the TDS is matched, please let the drip for another 30 minutes and then you can net the shrimps into your tank. You can then either discard the water in the container or pour back into your tank. 

We recommend the whole process for around 2 to 4 hours to ensure the new shrimp are fully acclimated to prevent omosis shock.

This is a very important process and must be done carefully to ensure your new shrimps long-term success.
