Ayr Aquatics is a specialist freshwater shrimp and snail breeder based in Ayr, Scotland.
We focus on healthy, colourful, tank-bred livestock raised in our dedicated aquatics facility. Our aim is simple: to produce strong, healthy shrimp and snails that are ready to thrive in their new aquariums.
Our range includes a growing selection of Neocaridina shrimp, including Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Green varieties, alongside a selection of useful and interesting freshwater snails.
All livestock is carefully raised in established aquariums and selected before dispatch. Orders are securely packed for safe delivery throughout the UK.

Buy Bloody Mary Shrimp in the UK
Bloody Mary shrimp are the deepest red Neocaridina available. Unlike Red Cherry and Fire Red, where colour sits in the flesh beneath a clear shell, Bloody Mary carry red pigment in the shell itself — giving a glossy, near-opaque blood red that holds up even in juveniles.
Care is identical to any other Neocaridina: pH 6.8–7.8, GH 6–12, TDS 150–300, room temperature. Hardy enough for beginners despite the premium appearance.
Colour is stable through the generations provided you keep them away from other Neocaridina colours.
